Each participating school has now had their official NanoQuest KickOff meeting. Please take a minute or two to comment and let us know how your site is doing. Specifically, let us know the following information:

2)How many students are participating (We would like to have this number for the grant)?
3)When are your regularly scheduled team meetings (days/time/location)?
4)How are your site's students reacting to this new opportunity?

1) We are the Crest Hill Dragon Fire Breathing Programmers.
2) I think we will have around 25 6th grade students involved. Some are very interested in the competition but I have many that are just wanting to help out and be a team member.
3) We meet on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:45. We will add another morning or afternoon in November to prepare for the competition and finish our research.
4) The students are not overly excited yet because of our limited time in building and programming. They do get excited about when we start talking about how to accomplish all of the tasks.

4. Students are really excited we can't get them to leave at 4:00.
North Casper - Xera's Robo Kingdom

Thursdays (generally) from 3:20 - 4:15
Students are really excited! More will be coming next week. We painted our board and worked on sorting some of the boxes.

4) They love the idea. Our student interest in robotics is high. They enjoyed coming up with a team name and their reactions to the Zoom video were very positive.

4) The kids that are participating are pretty excited. We have about 8 boys and 3 girls.
Sagewood Starbotics
We have 21 builders.
We are meeting four days a week, either 7:45-8:45 or 3:30-5:00. We are also planning four Saturdays in November, 9:00-1:00.
We are done building and will begin programming on Monday, 10/09. We do have a special robot that will be on a 504 and need a special playing field.
Pineview Hippy Chic Panther Geeks

Interest is high--time to attend club is tricky and many kids that would like to participate cannot because of being bused.

Oh my gosh!!! Talk about tuned, turned on, excited, sometimes out of control, excited, did I say excited!!!!! Loving it.
